Post Theatre Collective workshop

The Potential of Multilingualism within the Performing Arts

This workshop is part of the collaboration project The Potential of Multilingualism within the Performing Arts, led by Vanja Hamidi Isacson as playwright, and David Kozma as director, hosted by Post Theatre Collective.

We are looking for multilingual actors to take part in the full  workshop in February 2023. Based on the outcome of this workshop, a possible performance could be developed with the participants.

The collaboration project The Potential of Multilingualism within the Performing Arts will explore the potential of multilingualism within the performing arts – both from the actor’s and the audience’s perspective. It actively investigates how linguistic and cultural diversity can be/become visible in a society and a world where various forces strive for linguistic and ethnic homogeneity. This visibility or audibility will occur on several levels: in the working group, in the performing arts field and in society as a whole.

The working process itself will be multilingual, and strategies to work with a performance using all the languages spoken in the group will be developed throughout the project.
